Syntyché & Coert
There are some weddings that feel less like an event and more like an experience — days where everything seems to slow down just enough for you to notice the people, the prayers, the laughter and the love that brought everyone together.
Syntyché and Coert’s wedding at Rosebarn in Jeffrey’s Bay was exactly that.
There was something beautifully natural about their day. It was luxurious without ever feeling excessive, deeply rooted in their faith, and most importantly, completely and unapologetically them. From the very beginning, there was a sense that this day wasn’t about putting on a show. It was about being together, celebrating their marriage and making space for the people they love.
Their ceremony was particularly moving. With prayer at the heart of it and a beautiful aisle lined with hand-planted long grass, there was something incredibly grounding about watching Syntyché walk towards Coert. It felt intimate and intentional — a quiet reminder of what the day was really about.
And that feeling carried through the rest of the celebration.
What I loved most about Syntyché and Coert was their energy. They were so completely themselves. They made time to simply be with one another, to take in the day and enjoy the little moments, while still making everyone around them feel welcomed and included.
That warmth extended to us too. Travelling all the way to Jeffrey’s Bay with my videography team, Chad & Marko, we were so grateful to be welcomed into their celebration as though we had been part of it all along.
There is something incredibly special about being trusted with a day like this — especially when the people in front of your camera allow themselves to simply be. No performance, no pressure, just two people deeply in love, surrounded by the people who matter most.
Syntyché and Coert’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most memorable celebrations aren't always the loudest ones. Sometimes they are the ones filled with quiet moments, meaningful prayers, genuine laughter and a couple who never lose sight of each other in the middle of it all.
And for that, I feel incredibly grateful to have been there.
